| Sažetak | Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje dizajn tarot karata putem povijesnih, kulturnih i teorijskih aspekata te praktičan proces dizajna specifičnih karata. U poglavlju „Povijesni i kulturni kontekst tarota“ analizirana je povijest tarota, različiti špilovi i tradicije te njihov utjecaj na kulturu i umjetnost. U poglavlju „Tarot i dizajn“ istraženo je kako grafički dizajn u različitim područjima crpi inspiraciju iz tarota.
Proces dizajna tarot karata Althea opisan je u detalje, uključujući idejni koncept, izradu skica i izbor boja. Karte Velike i Male Arkane dizajnirane su prema Rider-Waite tarotu, pri čemu su ikone za Veliku Arkanu zadržale svoj klasični izgled, dok su karte Male Arkane pojednostavljene. Poglavlje „Vizualni identitet i dodatni materijali“ obuhvaća dizajn vizualnog identiteta, interpretacijske knjižice i ambalaže.
Na kraju, analizirani su komercijalni aspekti tržišta tarota, trenutni trendovi i popularnost te buduće mogućnosti za daljnji razvoj i komercijalnu primjenu špila Althea. Zaključno, rad pokazuje kako se tradicija i inovacija mogu uspješno spojiti u dizajnu tarot karata, stvarajući proizvod koji je estetski privlačan, duhovno bogat i komercijalno održiv. |
| Sažetak (engleski) | This thesis explores the design of tarot cards through historical, cultural, and theoretical aspects, as well as the practical process of designing specific cards. The chapter "Historical and Cultural Context of Tarot" analyses the history of tarot, different decks and traditions, and their impact on culture and art. The chapter "Tarot and Design" examines how graphic design draws inspiration from tarot in different areas.
The design process of the Althea tarot deck is described in detail, including the conceptual idea, sketch creation, and colour selection. The Major and Minor Arcana cards are designed based on the Rider-Waite tarot, with the Major Arcana icons retaining their classic appearance, while the Minor Arcana cards are simplified. The chapter "Visual Identity and Additional Materials" covers the design of the visual identity, the interpretive booklet, and the packaging.
Finally, the commercial aspects of the tarot market, current trends and popularity, and future opportunities for further development and commercial application of the Althea deck are analysed. In conclusion, the thesis demonstrates how tradition and innovation can be successfully combined in the design of tarot cards, creating a product that is aesthetically appealing, spiritually rich, and commercially sustainable. |
